Last week Microsoft added a long awaited feature, Conditional Formatting, to the iPad version of the Excel app.

Traditional Conditional formatting is where you can say something like..

Make the cell background red if the number in the cell is less than 50. But there are other features of Conditional Formatting: Data Bars, Colour Scales and Icon Sets.

Technically, Conditional Formatting on the iPad isn’t actually new as it’s available already via Excel Online – the browser version of Excel, but what I’m talking about here is the Excel app.

Whilst it’s a welcome addition, it’s not all there yet and in this video I’ll show you what it can, and can’t do.
