Conditional Formatting enables you to apply formatting to a cell (for example, background colour, font, text colour, bold, etc) if a condition or set of conditions are true.

For example, “apply a red background to A1 if it contains the word COMPLETE and a green background if it contains the words IN PROGRESS”

In the video below, I demonstrate two real-life examples (a training course booking system and a project RAG status report) of how to use Conditional Formatting to automatically change the background colour of cells based on the text value in the cells.
