Ratings charts are a popular type of visualization. Often known as “star charts” and “5 star ratings charts”, they are similar to a bar chart, but use a symbol, usually a star, to indicate a rating for each item (hence the term 5-star rating).
Ratings charts are often used in product reviews (think of Amazon!), performance reviews and more.
In this video I’ll show you how to create ratings charts in Excel using two different methods… conditional formatting and, for more flexibility, the REPT function.
