Never before have we had access to so much data. The challenge though is to be able to make sense of that data. Often a powerful data visualization is just what you need. Heatmaps are just one way to analyse and present data in a visual way. They are especially useful when it comes to geographic-based data.
If you have Excel 2013/2016 for Windows or 2016 for Mac you have access to the Office App Store from where you can install a free Geographic Heat Map addin. In this short video (which is part of a “Data Visualisation” webinar that I deliver) I demonstrate how to create something similar to the above.
